Information Services
An extensive selection of information services are available for individual or complete shipment management:
- Proactive delivery notification via various channels such as e-mail, SMS, fax and phone
- On-line tracking or advanced tracking and reporting tools to monitor your shipments
- Advice on customs regulations and documentation. Our Trade Automation Service offers the industry's most comprehensive trade and customs information for: duties and tax estimates; product codes and compliance; trade regulations and restricted parties. Customs Clearance Services
DHL offers a range of non-standard import and export clearance and handling services. This is particularly useful when sending high-value or multi-content shipments that require special paperwork or handling.
Neutral Delivery Service
DHL offers you even more control over the delivery of shipments to your valued customers.
Neutral Delivery Service is an invaluable service when conducting international trade. It allows the value of the commodity to be kept confidential from the receiver (your customer). The delivery of your dutiable shipment will be without any documentation other than the shipment Air Waybill (Air Waybill must show the custom declared value).
With this service, goods imported for resale can be sent directly to your customer (the receiver) without having to disclose the value of the goods. Your customer will not receive a copy of the commercial invoice for their reference.
Neutral Delivery Service is only applicable when the importer (you) and the receiver (your customer) are both in the same destination country. Please note that NDS is not for ad hoc shipments (such as gifts). NDS is chargeable at RM57 per shipment.

DHL offers flexible billing and payment options for transport charges, duties and taxes. This flexibility gives you the freedom to bill the sender, receiver or a 3rd Party.
Delivery Duty Paid
DHL offers you a flexible option for paying import duties and taxes applied to a customs-dutiable shipment.
Delivery Duty Paid can be extremely helpful if you regularly send promotional materials, valuable gifts or free samples to foreign customers. It also allows you to sell goods abroad at an all-inclusive price or support a worldwide customer service or warranty programme.
With coverage available to more than 140 countries, DHL will arrange this for you at a nominal fee of MYR60.00 per shipment. DHL will deliver the goods to your customers, then invoice duties and tax to you in local currency or to a designated third party worldwide.

DHL Import Express for Cash Import Shipments
You now can use your DHL Import Express account for Transport Collect shipments (incoming shipments which shipment charges are collected upon delivery). This hassle free solution allows you to manage your cash flow by having the shipment charges invoiced at your current Import Express contract rates. Kindly note that this special arrangement is chargeable at a nominal administration fee of MYR60.00 per shipment.

On top of the standard DHL liability, we provide insurance services that offer our customers financial protection against all risks of physical loss or damage from any external cause.
Shipper's Interest Insurance (SII)
DHL can arrange Shipper's Interest Insurance which offers protection for your shipments door-to-door. This service covers against physical loss or damage that could occur due to external causes during transportation.
It applies to the direct replacement or repair cost of the shipments
transported and transportation charges are automatically insured with your shipment.
This insurance covers all kinds of shipments, documents and parcels, internationally.
Premium Amount
Arranging Insurance
* The insured value is the purchase or direct replacement or repair cost of the shipment.

transported and transportation charges are automatically insured with your shipment.
This insurance covers all kinds of shipments, documents and parcels, internationally.
Premium Amount
- The premium charged would be 2% of the insured value with a minimum charge of MYR 38.00 ( 10 USD )
- If the insured value is less than MYR 1,900 the premium charged would be MYR 38.00
- If the insured value is more than MYR 1,900 the premium charged would be 2% of the insured value.
- Subject to terms and conditions of the insurance policy, full details available on request.
Arranging Insurance
- To insure your shipment, request the service at the same time as your booking.
- Tick the "shipment insurance" box on your DHL air waybill and enter the insured value* in Malaysian Ringgit or US Dollars. Please remember to provide this information. It is essential for arranging the insurance.
* The insured value is the purchase or direct replacement or repair cost of the shipment.

DHL offers three types of packaging solutions:
- Free of charge Standard Packaging that consists of DHL flyers, bags and document envelopes
- Special Packaging that consists of premium quality DHL cartons and boxes, meeting shipping requirements for many different products
- Temperature Controlled Packaging and Diagnostic Specimen Shippers, designed for specialist shipping requirements
