DHL wins Technology Business Review ASEAN Award 2007

DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, has won the Technology Business Review (TBR) ASEAN Award 2007 for Excellence in Logistics.
The TBR ASEAN Awards 2007 is a regional event which includes nominations from companies operating in the ASEAN region, ranging from Multinational corporations, Government-linked Corporations and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) from a huge array of industries. This win reflects DHL's strengths as the dominant logistics provider that is able to offer integrated supply chain solutions across the entire express and logistics industry range.
Sam Leong, DHL Express Country Manager (Malaysia and Brunei) said, ?We are extremely honoured by this award which further strengthens our commitment to continually respond to our customers' international transportation and logistics requirements. We have not only introduced new services such as Airport-To-Door import service which shortens cycle time while reducing overall business costs, but also implemented new technical solutions which significantly improve shipment processing and security as well as financial controls. With the rapid expansion of the DHL SERVICEPOINT retail network, our customers are also provided with added convenience, accessibility as well as greater flexibility for sending shipments?.
Mr. Leong continued, ?We are constantly introducing new service enhancements for our customers, specifically for SMEs, to ensure that transit times are minimized and new routes are established. We will continue to support our customers, in particular the Malaysian SMEs, in their international trade aspirations by providing scalable solutions and relevant products and services for both their exports and imports requirements.?
The TBR ASEAN 2007 Awards, held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre last week, was organized by the Technology Business Review monthly publication, and recognized the outstanding achievements of MNCs, GLCs and SMEs from a wide range of industries.
