Expanded Role for DHL Express Malaysia Country Manager
Brunei now included in Sam Leong's portfolio
DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, recently announced an expanded role for its DHL Express Malaysia Country Manager, Sam Leong.
Mr. Leong's expanded role is a result of DHL's regional restructuring program of two key areas - the South Asia & Indochina Area (SAIC) and South East Asia, in order to facilitate a better geographic focus upon trade lanes within Asia Pacific. Hardy Diec, DHL Express' Brunei Country Manager, now reports to Sam Leong, effective 1 January 2007.
The South East Asia Area, led by Yasmin Aladad Khan, Senior Vice President South East Asia, DHL Express Asia Pacific, has expanded to include Brunei, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam, in addition to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. The South Asia & Indochina Area, on the other hand, has been renamed South Asia Area covering the countries of India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Maldives, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
Mr. Leong said, "I am honoured to take up this expanded portfolio and look forward to overseeing our progress in Brunei. With the exciting activities being planned for DHL Malaysia in 2007, I hope to continue the momentum generated here and build on our reputation as the world's leading express and logistics company in Brunei as well".
