DHL rewards lucky winner with RM6,000 Travel Voucher
DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, believes in rewarding its loyal customers. As such, customers sending international inbound express shipments using DHL Import Express service between 20 October 2006 and 19 January 2007 were rewarded with a chance to win a Grand Prize of a RM6,000 Travel Voucher, valid for destinations worldwide.
The promotion also gave customers a chance to win weekly prizes of RM100 Shell Petrol Cards. These exclusive rewards were part of DHL's nationwide Import Express campaign to promote inbound shipments. To participate, DHL customers had to send international express shipments using DHL Import Express, answer 2 simple True/False questions and submit their entries online. The lucky winner of the RM6,000 Travel Voucher was 23-year-old Lindsay Choong Siew Kim, an employee of Delta Medisains (M) Sdn Bhd and a loyal DHL customer.
"Winning this unique prize is a dream come true. I never imagined that I would be able to travel to my destination choice for free! When a company like DHL rewards its customers for their loyalty with such great prizes, it speaks volumes about how much they value our business. We'll certainly be using DHL again," said Ms. Choong.
The Import Express campaign was held to emphasize DHL's commitment to making importing simple for its customers, by eliminating hassle and providing convenience, whilst enabling customers to have better cost control. Import Express is a fast and reliable service that allows DHL's customers to import goods from overseas suppliers. Since its launch in 1995, demand for the service has steadily increased, driven largely by increased trade flows and customers' need for greater control over the cost, speed and reliability of their imports. The next phase of Import Express contest is scheduled begin in mid-April 2007.
"Current trade volumes in Malaysia are at an all-time high, and we see Import Express continuing to play a crucial role in catering towards the needs of the domestic economy. With Import Express, customers who pay for some of their freight cost within a non-integrated transport chain can now enjoy the simplicity and control of one point of contact, one fixed price, and one invoice for all their import requirements. Rewarding our customers reinforces our commitment to them by providing a full range of innovative and reliable solutions to ensure DHL is their number 1 choice for all their express and logistics needs," said Sam Leong, Country Manager, DHL Express Malaysia.
